MJ is a witty writer who takes his lyrics seriously yet knows how to have fun. His songs are thoughtful that everyone can relate to and even the stories are real and feelings are genuine. The self-taught musician is very versatile and doesn’t like to have any boundaries on anything that he does. Being a true artist he does everything but sing (well) and loves to create. He wrote and produced his own CD entitled Now Showing and is now working on the follow up.
His trademarks are his creativity and ability to paint a total picture with his songs and keep them intact and the points clear. He doesn’t waiver in his songs and almost every word has a deeper and secondary meaning.
MJ was born and raised in Pensacola Florida, and he’s been living in Florida ever since. Even though he was born and raised in the South his influences music-wise were mainly Eastern Hip Hop. MJ prides himself on content and message and believes that you can make great music that’s catchy and also get a point across.
The front man for Black Majik Productions, MJ is the glue that holds the team together and helps get the creative juices going. He’s been running BMP on the underground for quite some time and he’s now ready to take it to the next level.
