P. Rowe was born and raised in the city of Fort Pierce, Fl. At a very early age, his mother introduced him to music, and his love for music flourished in the Apostolic Church of Jesus. By age 5 he became the lead drummer at the church, and often traveled with the choir.
Throughout high school, P. Rowe was a standout in the percussion section of the band. He always knew he could sing too, but it wasn’t until his senior year that it was revealed to everyone else.
While attending Florida State University, P. Rowe made a name for himself throughout the college campus, performing in talent shows, step shows, etc. It is also where he met MJ, TY and Kenny Shaw who both shared that same passion for music as he did, and who would later form Black Majik Productions (BMP).
After attending 2 years of college, P. Rowe decided to pursue a professional music career. He performed monthly with the Phat Cat Soul assemble which was spearheaded by Danny Harris (CoCo Brown), where he polished his skills with a live band. He later collaborated with Darius “Doc D” Baker and produced several songs which all received rave reviews locally.
While performing at the Florida A&M homecoming concert, P. Rowe caught his first major break. He was flown to New York to sign his first major recording contract with Haqq Islam of University Music. While at University Music P. Rowe became front man of the R&B group Prophet Jones. Which brings us to now! Black Majik Productions presents…. Yours Truly.
